The British Acupuncture Council (BAcC)

The British Acupuncture Council is the UK's main regulatory body for the practice of acupuncture by over 2800 professionally qualified acupuncturists.

The British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) is also the register of practising acupuncturists. The BAcC sets ethical and hygiene standards for acupuncturists and is currently working on the standards for continuing professional development.

All BAcC members are bound by strict Codes of Safe Practice and Professional Conduct. These codes ensure that patients are offered the highest standards of professional care during their acupuncture treatment.

The BAcC is committed to carrying the spirit and integrity of this ancient tradition into the twenty-first century. Traditional acupuncture is able to adapt to the needs of modern healthcare while still retaining its essence. This is what makes it one of the most popular complementary therapies in the UK today.
